DIGITAL ANTHOLOGY
THE THREAD
I’m never short on words.
(Just ask my husband!)
There’s a constant whirring of thoughts and ideas and revelations and beliefs and stories within me, every second of every hour of every day. Each one jostling for airtime like a former reality star lunging for the microphone of a hosting gig.
But, as we’ve been told ever since we were little, there’s a time and place for everything.
And these innermost raw gems of mine are not for the wide open spaces of public platforms.
They are far too personal and tender and vulnerable and revealing to be shared with large crowds of people — most of whom are too distracted to properly consume, or too disengaged to deeply comprehend.
And so, my soul has been seeking someplace else.
Somewhere I could give myself the space to share these uncut jewels and somewhere for you to receive them in solace.
So I went searching, and this is what I found.
THE THREAD:
an ever-evolving online anthology of the exploration and expression of self.
Imagine you are strolling along a street you’ve walked a thousand times before and, amongst the busyness and noise of the world, your eyes are drawn to a beautiful old white building with a large oak door and ornate gold handle.
It matters not that you’ve never noticed it till now, because the desire to step inside is palpable.
As you push down on the handle and catch your first glimpse of the glorious interior, you realise you’ve discovered a treasure trove of tales of truth.
You’ve found yourself in the library of The Thread.
Leaving your shoes at the door, you traipse barefoot across faded vintage Moroccan rugs of varying sizes and whispered colours, layered over white-washed floorboards that gently creak with hushed stories and secrets collected over hundreds of years.
Wingbacks and chesterfields and overstuffed velvet armchairs in shades of mustard, terracotta, chocolate and dusty rose have arranged themselves like old friends, adorned with cushions in their Sunday best, and accompanied by coffee tables that know too much but would never tell.
Floor-to-ceiling arched windows sit side-by-side with giant bookshelves, as far, wide and high as the eye can see.
Real life stories. Unfolding. In real time.
Real life stories. Unfolding. In real time.
The wings of The Thread – like any library – are well-known, and possibly even a little obvious: business and entrepreneurship, art and creativity, love and relationships, personal development, spirituality, womanhood…
But as you look a little closer, you will see the titles that adorn the shelves are deeply intimate, textured, and nuanced.
A rich tapestry of tales written through the lens of lived experience.
A glimpse into the heart, soul and mind of a woman in this lifetime.
That woman is me.
That woman is you.
That woman is us.
And these stories have been published especially for you.
To sit down and savour in sacred personal moments – for you to “borrow” from the shelves – to lose yourself in… and find yourself again. And again. And again.
To meet yourself in your own truth, through the sharing of mine.
To remember your richness through reflection.
To share connection and wisdom through the feminine art of storytelling.
And I am inviting you into this revered (and revealing)

Nothing stifles creativity like expectation, but I do want to ensure that there is something for you to dive into on a regular basis. My aim is to have a piece for you each week, but let’s go with the (creative) flow here… deal?
The beauty of The Thread – much like life – is the mystery of it, and what’s revealed as the words tumble out of me and land onto the page … destined for you.
